Mysterious places of Tula and Tula region

Tula, with its centuries-old history and amazing past, is full of mysteries and legends: there are anomalous zones, ancient haunted houses, and cursed roads. The mysterious places of Tula are notorious, but that doesn't stop adventurers. Do you think there's nothing to surprise you with? Then get acquainted with a selection of the most exciting mystical sights and mysterious places of the Tula region.

Ghostly inhabitants of the Tula Kremlin

In the center of the armory capital there is a fortress with nine towers, one of which had a torture chamber. Robbers and thieves were punished in it. The tortures were terrible: people were hung from hooks and beaten with belts, which caused many to die in agony. The atmosphere here is gloomy. Locals and tourists say that photographs near the tower often show glowing diamonds and spirals (nothing more than the souls of deceased people) .

There is another legend: in the 16th century, during the raid of the Crimean Tatars, the inhabitants of the city tried to escape behind the walls of the Kremlin, but one girl did not have time to run inside and died. The guards of the fortress said that since then they had periodically seen her crying soul near the gate.

Ancient mansions with restless souls

There are several abandoned haunted mansions in Tula. They are all connected by creepy stories.

In Saburov's house in Krapivna, the restless spirit of the merchant's daughter Glafira Yudina roams. Her life ended in tragedy: after learning about the betrayal of her lover Mikhail Saburov with her sister, Glafira shot herself. The night guards said that her soul could not find rest.

Another ghostly lady can be found in the park of the Bobrinsky estate in Bogoroditsk, Tula region. According to legend, the count liked to invite famous people to visit. One of them was a count from St. Petersburg. The girl fell in love with a local gardener, but he did not reciprocate. Due to unrequited feelings, the Countess threw herself into a pond and drowned. Locals say they see her ghost in the park.

Secrets of Bald Mountain

Lysaya Gora is a high hill in the Aleksinsky district of the Tula region. Here, in 1999, a local historian found ancient choppers, arrowheads and knives with small drawings. The objects depicted little men, animals and flying saucers. After the unusual discovery, the mountain became a place of attraction for psychics and ufologists. Many of them stated that the objects found were the creation of aliens.

There are also mysterious caves in the Aleksinsky district. Their walls are decorated with rock carvings in the form of unknown creatures, flying saucers.

The Road of Death

The story is less than a hundred years old: in the village of Krapivna, after the end of the Second World War, the authorities decided to build a road. They chose an unusual place — next to the soldiers' cemetery. Locals call the road "cursed", and this is not for nothing, because fatal accidents are especially common here. The victims are mostly young men who did not want to serve in the army. Some people believe that this is how dead soldiers take revenge for their unwillingness to become defenders of the Motherland.

Novomoskovsk anomalous zone

The zone includes forests near the village of Kurguzovka and the railway track between the stations of Khomyakovo and Yasnogorsk. The place is "not good" — people here often get lost or die under trains. Local researchers believe that the tectonic fault of a large ring structure is "to blame" for the tragedies. Because of it, telluric radiation affects people's psyche, however, there is no official confirmation of this.

Temple in the Village of Sviridovo, Venevsky district

Locals say that there was a tomb with burial in the refectory of the temple. A blue coffin with gold legs and a lot of expensive utensils were found here. Those who excavated and plundered the burial site were punished with sudden death or prison. Coincidence or not is not known.

The mystical places of Tula, which are shrouded in legends and mysterious events, side by side with urban romance, hidden in the landscapes and shadows of urban architecture. They become a magnet for those who want to solve unexplained phenomena and mysteries.
