Gastromarshrute in the Tula region

At the MITT tourism exhibition, the Tula Region presented a gastronomic route through the region. It is designed for three days and, taking into account the start and finish in Moscow, is 720 kilometers. We will not describe historical sights (and there are many of them on the route) in this post, we will focus on gastronomy. Let's try it!

Day 1
Kulikovo field – Epiphany – Bogoroditsk

  • The Kulikovo Field Museum's visitor center has a cafe with themed dinners - it serves Russian dinners (chowder, rasp, spelt porridge), Ordynsky (bozbash soup and pilaf) andGenoese (vegetable soup and lasagna) warriors. Some of the products for the cafe (for example, spelt) are grown in Kulikovo field.

Day 2
Yasnaya Polyana – Berendey – Tula

  • In Yasnaya Polyana, you need to try the famous Ankovsky pie according to the recipe of Leo Nikolaevich Tolstoy's wife.
  • The country restaurant Berendey is famous for the cuisine of Pershinsky hunting.
  • In Tula, they offer to go to a gingerbread production workshop, buy marshmallows, jam and Tula gingerbread, and have dinner at the Secular with dishes from a Russian wood-burning stove or at the Ba with five types of cabbage soup.

Day 3
Dvoryaninovo – "Mark and the Lion"
or
Venev – "Rustle"

  • People go to the Locavore chef-restaurant "Mark and Lev" on purpose. There is no menu here. Mikhail Lukashonok and his team prepare sets in a Russian oven based on seasonal ingredients.
  • The Veneva gastronomic brand is a bun-venevka. In 2021, a monument was even erected to her in the city.
  • The Just Wood country complex has two restaurants of Russian cuisine with an emphasis on local ingredients — these are Shelest and TITULART. They are led by brand chef Anton Krupenin.
