National project "Tourism and Hospitality": Tula region develops strategies for the development of the region's tourism industry

The region continues to work on a strategy within the framework of the national project "Tourism and Hospitality". Another meeting was held in the historical center of Tula with representatives of the tourism industry and creative industries: organizers of master classes, creators of private museums and souvenir manufacturers.

Earlier, tour operators, restaurateurs and hoteliers had already joined the discussion — the strategy is being formed with the participation of the entire professional community.

The key focus is the development of thematic tourism clusters:

• Tolstoy (dedicated to the 200th anniversary of Leo Tolstoy)
• Kulikovo (on the 650th anniversary of the Battle of Kulikovo)

Also in focus:

• promotion of small towns: Dubna, Odoev, Belev, Chekalin,
• the development of gastronomic and autotourism,
• creation of unique souvenir products and strengthening of regional identity.

The new strategy will strengthen the Tula Region's position on the tourist map of the country and offer guests even more interesting routes and experiences.
