Tula has won the National Hotel Award
On November 25, the winners of the National Hotel Award Russian Hospitality Awards 2022 were awarded at the World Trade Center in Moscow.

The Award is organized by the Russian Hotel Association (RGA) with the support of the Federal Agency for Tourism of the Russian Federation. Today, the RGA includes about 270 organizations that combine about 600 accommodation facilities.

Tula became the winner in the nomination "The best city for conducting the hotel business" in the category of cities with a population of 500 thousand to 1 million people.

"The Tula region has received recognition from the largest industry association for the first time. The National Hotel Award assessed not only the demand for hotel services, but also the conditions that the regional Government and the Tula administration create for new and existing accommodation facilities. Interest in domestic tourism is growing, and the tourist flow is increasing every year. On behalf of Governor Alexey Gennadyevich Dyumin, the most comfortable conditions are being created in the Tula region to attract private investment in the development of tourism infrastructure. The region has a reduced tax rate for the hotel infrastructure and a simplified system for providing land for the hotel business, and a set of government support measures has been developed," said Larisa Solomatina, Chairman of the Regional Committee for Tourism Development.

Alexey Dyumin pays special attention to the development of the tourism industry. A comfortable tourist environment and infrastructure are being formed in the region, and a tourism development strategy has been developed until 2035. It provides for the integrated development of territories using a cluster approach. It is planned to build new hotels and tourist bases in each cluster, open cafes and restaurants, and entertainment facilities for tourists and locals. In addition, the region has developed and is implementing a set of state support measures for small and medium-sized entrepreneurs working in the tourism sector.
