Yasnogorsk Regional Museum of Local Lore

The Yasnogorsk Regional Museum of Local Lore received its first visitors on December 2, 1971. The museum's exposition solution immediately attracted the attention of visitors of different age categories and interests: 3 halls of nature, the Hall of Antiquity, the Hall of Military Glory, and the hall of the Soviet period.
In different periods of the museum's work, reconstructions were carried out, expositions were updated, and funds were replenished with new acquisitions.So in December 1979, the diorama "Tank Battle at Revyakino station", made by the Honored Artist of the RSFSR A.I.Penkov, was inaugurated in the Hall of Military Glory.In 1991, after a long overhaul and reconstruction, the museum completely renovated the exposition, expanded its area by opening a new exhibition hall and a storage facility. With the expansion of the exhibition space, there are prospects for exhibition activities: the organization of personal, joint creative exhibitions, presentations. As a result of this active work, the museum's funds began to be replenished with new acquisitions: paintings, decorative and applied art. In this regard, in 2001, the museum changed its status from local history to local history Museum.
The pride of the Yasnogorsk Regional Museum of Local Lore is the collection of paintings by fellow countryman, student of I.E. Repin, F.P. Nesterov.The hallmark of the museum is the work of the master of artistic embroidery, V.A. Bodrova.The hall of the Soviet period, which opened relatively recently, is very popular with visitors. It presents the interior of an apartment from the 50s and 70s of the 20th century.The museum has decorated dioramas: "Black Grouse current", "Lark", "Waterfowl whistling teals", "Wolves", "Badger", "Fox", "Squirrels", "Wild Boar", "Moose" and others. They introduce visitors to the wildlife of the area.
Every year, the museum replenishes its funds with tangible cultural and historical values. More than five thousand exhibits have been collected, forming unique collections.Thousands of Yasnogorians are grateful to the museum staff for preserving the history of their native land, the memory of their loved ones, for the high culture of service and loyalty to moral ideals.
