Theater Square

The park near the Tula State Academy Drama Theater transformed the urban space miraculously. A multicolored musical cascade fountain with three sills and 93 adjuvant fountains are the main spot of the architectural composition in the park. Сomplex and powerful equipment provides this water enchanting spectacle. 140 waterpumps with a total capacity of 150 kW can pump up to 14 tons of water per minute. Light-emitting diodes are designed for 160 operation hours, and also they need three times less energy than electric incandescent lamp and are fourfold more powerful. The process of changing vivid pictures (which basis is the game of water and light) is controlled by two computers; the special program contains about two thousand variants of pictures. Three fountains are veneered with granite and separated by two elegant bridges. A cast-iron fence is themasterpiece and was made by Tula blacksmiths after a fashion of the fence of the Summer Garden in Saint Petersburg, but this one has original details - tragic masks. The fountain is designed in such a way that anyone who enters the bridge is in a light transparent dome of water, which creates a romantic atmosphere.
