Type of route: Cultural tourism, Educational tourism
For everyone
4 h 30 min.
5 objects

The heroic defense of Tula in 1941 became a bright page in the history of the Great Patriotic war.

The German offensive was stopped here and an attempt to bypass Moscow from the South was foiled.

The memory of those events is kept by buildings, street names and squares, monuments and memorials.

We will walk with you through the battlegrounds, i.e. through Mogilyov Square, Victory Square, Central Park, university campus, the Rogozhinsky Settlement and Park, along the walls of All Hallows Cemetery, as well as visit the Museum of the Machine, where during the interactive tour "Tula - the Workshop of Russia," you will meet those who contributed to the Great Victory, the defenders of the city, and inventors of weapons, discover unknown or forgotten pages of exploits in the rear of the heroic history of Tula:

·  How did the war connect Tula with Mogilyov and Paris?

·  What did the distillery produce during the war?

·  Where were the machines restored for repairing tanks, without drawings, from memory?

·   Why cartridges reused were spent?

·   Why did anti-aircraft guns fight against tanks?

·   Who is the smallest city in Russia named after?

·   For what and when was Tula awarded the title of hero city?

It is advisable to complete the route during daylight hours and in good weather.

Don't forget to put on comfortable clothes and shoes.
