  • Plavsky Regional Museum of Local Lore.
The fascinating expositions of the museum reveal the history and culture of one of the oldest cities in Russia.
The largest exhibition is dedicated to the architecture and literary heritage of the region. Here you can see a lot of old photographs of buildings in the village of Sergievskoye at that time.
  • The Princes Gagarin Cultural Center.
The Princes Gagarin Cultural Center is a multidisciplinary cultural space in the building of the diocesan women's college.
Residents and guests of the city can enjoy thematic interior expositions dedicated to the life of the Gagarin princely house, the life of the pupils of the diocesan college, the history and culture of Plavsk. After the restoration, a museum was created on the ground floor of the building. A conference room, an art studio and a Youth center "Patriot" were set up on the second floor.
  • I.S. Turgenev Museum-Reserve "Bezhin Meadow".
In a beautiful bend of the Snezhed River, the grandfather of the great writer Nikolai Alekseevich Turgenev laid out a large park, which was divided into six zones by pine and lime alleys, flower beds were laid out inside each block, fruit trees and shrubs were planted. The perimeter of the park is surrounded by pine and lime alleys, arranged in a strictly defined and thoughtful manner. From the west, the park was bordered by a lime alley, which adjoined the manor house. The eastern pine alley has bizarre curves forming natural gazebos. It turns steeply into the Sazhelka meadow, where the Sazhelka pond is still preserved. There is a manor spring well in the southeastern side of the park.
  • V.V. Veresaev House Museum
The museum's exposition is dedicated to the life and work of Vikenty Vikentievich Veresaev (Smidovich)– a writer, literary critic and Pushkin scholar.
The museum is located in the estate owned by the writer's parents, Vikenty Ignatievich and Elizaveta Pavlovna Smidovich. The House Museum is the only surviving urban estate in Tula. On the tour you will get acquainted with the biography and work of the famous writer, see the beautiful gardens of the estate and hear interesting facts about the life and stories of our countryman.
