Places in the Tula region can tell a lot with their rich history, no matter which direction you go, but we recommend starting from the very center – from the streets that branch off from the Kremlin.

  1. Tula Armory Museum (new building)
The Museum of Arms in Tula is one of the oldest and largest weapons museums in Russia, the main attraction of the city. More than half a million people visit it every year. The museum is a symbol of Tula's gunsmithing and history.
  2. Museum Quarter (Metallistov St.)
The history of Metallistov Street began several centuries ago, when merchants, artisans and representatives of other professions lived here. Today, tourists can stroll along this ancient pedestrian street and immerse themselves in the atmosphere of the past.
  3. Branch of the State Historical Museum (GIM)
The branch of the Historical Museum in Tula is located in the museum quarter, at No. 10 Metallistov Street. This is the former mansion of merchant Ivan Mikhailovich Belolipetsky.
  1. Holy Cross Square
Ancient buildings protect the peace of this location from the bustling Sovetskaya Street, pedestrian Metallist Street and festive Kazanskaya Embankment. On the one hand, the square is covered by the Tula Kremlin of the XVI century, on the other – the former building of the kitchen factory of the early XX century, from the west – the Zolotorev house of the XVIII century and the former Tula City Duma of the XIX century, and from the south - the building of the regional administration of the 80s of the XX century.
  2. Tula Kremlin
The main attraction of the city, which was built for the purpose of defense and has never been taken. On the territory you can admire the Holy Dormition Church, the Epiphany Cathedral and see the exhibition complex with museum exhibits.
  3. Creative industrial cluster "Octave"
The Oktava Creative Industrial Cluster is a creative space in the center of Tula, opened with the support of private investor Mikhail Shelkov on the basis of the operating plant of the same name in April 2018. Here you can drink delicious coffee, go to an exhibition, concert, master class or lecture, and get acquainted with the industrial history of Tula and Russia in the multimedia Machine Tool Museum.
  4. Machine Tool Museum
Industry, craftsmanship, ingenuity, ingenuity – these words best characterize the main exposition of the Machine Tool Museum. By visiting it, you will learn how humanity has gone step by step from the mechanization of manual labor to the invention of digitally controlled machines and about the future of industrial development.
