By visiting the updated exhibition, you will be able to learn about the everyday life of the average local nobility, as well as about the life of an amazing man, the creator of one of the first landscape parks in Russia, the distributor of various agricultural crops, the inventor of the first combination lock and the country's first children's theater.
The last point of the route will be acquaintance with the famous writer, public figure and one of the main ideologists of Slavophilism – Alexey Stepanovich Khomyakov. In Khomyakov's biography, the Tula period of his life and work occupies an important place, spent in the Bogucharovo family estate .
The manor complex offers each visitor its own unique view of the beauty of nature. Here you will admire the famous exquisite stucco and read excerpts from the Slavophile's works. The museum will also not leave any seeker of literary delights of the Russian soul indifferent. Three permanent exhibitions will introduce guests to the life and work of Alexei Stepanovich. The fireplace room of the museum is a kind of hall where the memory of the creative life of A.S. Khomyakov is kept, about his relationship with his contemporaries (L.N. Tolstoy, I.S. Turgenev, N.V. Gogol, A.S. Pushkin, etc.). Here they will tell in detail about the origin of Slavophilism and about rivalry with Westerners.
