Maslenitsa in the Tula region will be widely celebrated: in Tula itself – round dances in squares, pot-bellied samovars (where without them) with various drinks, nursery rhymes, jokes and delicious cuisine. Around Tula, the emphasis is on studying the everyday life of the past: how merchants walked on Shrovetide, what peasant children played during Shrovetide. In "Just wood" they will teach you how to use hemp walkers, arrange a "Cossack hockey" and a pillow fighting tournament. The pancake eating championship with and without different fillings is also there. Anyway, climbing for prizes and pancakes will be everywhere. But Tula does not offer its guests to celebrate spring with pancakes and conquering pillars.
The Wild Mint camp will feature workshops, ritual games, concerts by popular bands, construction of a snow fortress, and even karaoke based on Russian folk tales. Pancakes and delicious teas from the Oka meadows are included.

In Yasnaya Polyana they play kalechina-malechina (it's fun), run on stilts, give various master classes, bake pancakes with different fillings and tell how Count Leo Nikolaevich Tolstoy and his family celebrated Shrovetide. It definitely won't be boring. The only thing is that it is better to purchase tickets in advance, especially if you want to get to the main house of the estate. The harmonicists from "Naughty busting" and the folklore ensemble "Verenitsa" will be a plus.
