Night of the Arts 2022

02 November 2022

On Friday, November 4, the annual "Night of the Arts" will take place. We have selected events that we think are worth paying attention to.

1. The branch of the State Historical Museum will tell you how the ancient Greeks drank wine, what they ate, what they dressed up for a visit, and why stamnos, Psictor, and Lutrophor are antique vases, not villains from Marvel."which you might have thought of. Plus, there is a guitar and violin concert, master classes, a game library and many excursions.

Detailed program – https://tula.shm.ru/event/noch-iskusstv-v-istoricheskom-muzee-2/.

2.  Kulikovo Field Museum –Reserve: The Archeology and Restoration space at Metallist is waiting with a program about the life of Tulyak in the Paleolithic era. Of course, workshops for children on rock art and tasting medieval cuisine. The menu states: tavranchuk soup, kundums with Saracen millet, felts, sbiten. Kundums can be baked by yourself.

Epiphany will tell about the cultural everyday life of merchants of the 19th century: fashion, way of life and customs. At the end of the program, tea from an ancient samovar and cherry jam with pits are promised. In a real merchant's way - from saucers.

3.Tula Regional Philharmonic is spending the night at four venues:
  • Russian Russian Folk Orchestra "Metelitsa", St. Petersburg (artistic director and chief conductor - Honored Artist of Russia Igor Tonin) and the Orchestra of Russian Folk Instruments "Tula" (artistic director and chief conductor – Vladimir Alenichev) collaborated in the Philharmonic Concert Hall. The start is at 17:00, they promise surprises and improvisations.
  • In the ANTHEM for Metallists (we wrote a little above) a concert for violin and guitar: Natalia Lvova and Alexey Simanovsky will play classics in their own interpretation. It starts at 18:00.
  • A new Sound Lab project is being launched at Octave, in which the Philharmonic goes beyond its usual concert venues and tries to speak to a young audience in an up-to-date musical language. The name somehow refers to the legendary laboratory of Anton Belyaev. You can check the result of the experiment on Friday at 19:00. Sergey Poltavsky (viola, live electronics) will perform with the program "Night Wind".
  • The Philharmonic Night will end in the building of the Noble Assembly with two guided concerts at 20:00 and 21:00, respectively.

Please note that on November 6 at 17:00 in the Philharmonic Concert Hall there will be a film hit with the Tula Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra and the Tula State Choir, conducted by Roman Abramov: SYMPHONY NEO. Let it be outside the framework of the "Night of the Arts", but it is necessary to visit. Fresh, fun and with great taste and love of business.

7. More than 40 events were prepared by museums that are part of the Tula Museum Association. Master classes, concerts, quests, interactive tours, lectures and even retro karaoke have been announced. Separately, we will note the program in Nettle. Firstly, we love them, secondly, the Nettles themselves are very atmospheric, and thirdly, there is a guided promenade with local legends and stories on the "Night of the Arts". Anyone who has the time and opportunity to get there is highly recommended. Spoiler alert – you'll definitely like it.
