Long weekend in Yasnaya Polyana

This long weekend, the Yasnaya Polyana Museum Estate invites you to attend interesting events at the House of Culture, and also reminds you of the change in the work schedule.

Starting from April 29, 2023 , the museum will switch to a summer schedule. On weekends and holidays the reserve will be open for walks from 9:00 to 18:00; guided tours will be conducted from 10:30 to 16:30.

During the May holidays, the working hours of the museum and its branches will change. You can find out more about this on the museum's website. Please also note that May 1, 2023 the cost of tickets for excursions will change according to the new price list.

Also on April 29 , the cycling season begins in the Yasnaya Polyana Nature Reserve.The route passes through Tolstoy's favorite hiking and horseback riding spots. To participate in the tour, you can rent bicycles or join the group on your bike. On April 29, 2023, at the Vremya Kino cinema (Yasnaya Polyana House of Culture, Yasnaya Polyana, 142A), the screening and discussion of the film "Waves" will take place. The film will be presented by its creator and director Sergey Kalvarsky, a graduate of Alexander Sokurov's workshop. The project is dedicated to the Year of the Teacher and Mentor and is organized jointly with the Slava Shutov Film Club.

The genre of the painting can be defined as a mystical drama. The main characters, sound engineers Alexander and Ivan, went on a train expedition to Transbaikalia to record intershums for newsreels about the Gulag. But what they heard and recorded was not at all what they expected. Everything around them that seemed to be dead, gone, began to find its voice.

The show starts at 20:00. The duration is 1 hour. The age limit is 16+

On April 29 and 30, 2023, at the Yasnaya Polyana House of Culture (d. Yasnaya Polyana, 142A) will be shown the performance of the educational theater of the Shchukin Theater Institute "Oscar, or Oh la la!".

This production was created by Anna Dubrovskaya, head of the graduate acting course of the Pike, and director-teacher Kirill Darin. It is based on the play Oscar, a Misunderstanding in Three Acts by French playwright Claude Magnier, which can be described as a classic sitcom. Performed by the fourth-year students of "Pike", the performance turned out to be dynamic and hilariously funny.

Performances start: April 29 – at 17:00, April 30 – at 14:00 and 18:00. The duration is 2 hours and 20 minutes. Age limit: 16+
