On July 26, a delegation from Indonesia visited Tula. The official meeting was attended by Pavel Tatarenko, Minister of Economic Development of the Tula Region, Dmitry Milyaev, head of the Tula City Administration, Jose Tavares, Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus, Muhamad Nur Aziz, Mayor of Magelang, representatives of TulSU, Tidar University, and the business community.
The parties discussed the prospects for the development of cooperation between the two cities, Tula and Magelang, and presented projects for implementation in the fields of education, business, culture and tourism.
Dmitry Milyaev stressed that the establishment of friendly relations with the city of Magelang will provide an opportunity to implement projects in various fields.
"Tula is a large industrial and tourist region with a rich cultural and historical heritage. We are ready to share our experience and adopt new practices. Therefore, it is important to establish international cooperation. Today we are at the beginning of a long and productive relationship between Tula and Magelang. I hope that the new cooperation will become mutually beneficial and attract additional investments to our cities," said the head of the administration.
The meeting also discussed the possibilities of cooperation in the field of education. Tula State University and Tidar University have signed a cooperation agreement.
After the official part, representatives of the Indonesian delegation studied Tula's experience in building an Intelligent Transport System and other projects.
