The team included employees of the regional government, municipalities and tourism specialists.

The program launch ceremony was opened by Dmitry Chernyshenko, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation.

"Russian President Vladimir Putin has set a task to accelerate the development of tourism infrastructure and increase the accessibility of recreation for Russians. This is a common task for both the state and business, which the national project "Tourism and the Hospitality Industry" helps us to solve. Together, we are creating conditions for traveling around our country to be comfortable and safe. We pay special attention to personnel training. These are not only industry specialists, but also the management staff of regional and city teams. And here at the WEB.The Russian Federation has one of the most advanced expertise in this field," the Deputy Prime Minister noted.

Teams from 200 cities are participating in the project. The course is aimed at developing the hospitality industry and increasing the attractiveness of cities for tourism.

"This is the third program for VEB. The first one was dedicated to 319 single-industry towns, followed by a program for the 100 largest cities. Now this is a new dimension of the urban economy – tourism and 200 cities that combine into several tourist routes. For VEB, this program will help support business projects at the municipal economic level. A new atmosphere and a new quality of life in the city will be formed from the multitude of these business projects," said the chairman of VEB.Russian Federation Igor Shuvalov.

Four teams from Tula, Aleksin, Bogoroditsk and Belyov are studying at the Skolkovo School of Management.
