Tula residents will see the play based on the unfinished play by Nikolai Gogol "Vladimir III degree" for the first time. It will be presented on an open stage in the Museum Courtyard of the branch of the Historical Museum in Tula on June 25 by graduates of the workshop of V.P.Fokina (VGIK) in 2019. The event will be held within the framework of the Tula Museum Summer project.
"Vladimir of the third Degree" is Gogol's first dramatic experience. The play remained unfinished, but it still attracts the attention of actors and directors. So the students of Vladimir Fokin's theater workshop at VGIK, studying in their third year, produced a play that later became not only a thesis, but also the beginning of a new theater group. The play is currently playing on the stage of the Central Actor's House. Yablochkina street.
Ivan Petrovich Barsukov is a St. Petersburg career official with the sole purpose of
which is the receipt of the Order of St. Vladimir, the third degree of which officials were awarded not only for special services to the state, but also for long service. And when, it would seem, nothing prevents Barsukov from achieving what he wants, his colleague Proletov gets in the way, succumbing to envy and deciding to prevent his colleague at all costs. This confrontation is the main engine of the action of the play, staged by modern young people who are energetic and not afraid of experimentation.
The director of the play and the performer of one of the main roles is Grigory Artamonov, a graduate of the acting faculty of the VGIK (workshop of V. P. Fokin), who is currently graduating from the directing faculty of the Shchukin Theater Institute.
The duration of the performance is 1 hour. It starts at 18:00.
