The Big Golden Ring project will contribute to the development of small towns in the Tula region
On July 2-3, a press tour dedicated to the creation of a master plan for the Bolshoe Zolotoe Koltso tourist macroterritory is taking place in the Tula Region. Among its developers is the Pro Gorod project office of the VEB.RF group. The master plan is planned to be completed by the end of 2022.

At SPIEF 2021 Governor Alexey Dyumin signed an agreement with Rostourism on the inclusion of the Tula region and comprehensive cooperation within the framework of the development of the tourist macroterritory "Big Golden Ring". The project also includes the Moscow, Vladimir, Ivanovo, Kaluga, Tula, Yaroslavl, Kostroma, Ryazan and Tver regions. They are united according to the principle of the famous tourist brand "Golden Ring", closing the ring around Moscow.

More than 20 federal and regional journalists, bloggers and photographers visited Epiphany, Bogoroditsk, Tula and Polenovo. In addition to Tula, the projected interregional route, which is part of the Bolshoe Zolotoe Koltso project, includes cities in the Moscow and Kaluga regions.

Head of the Pro Gorod Project Office of the VEB Group.Russian Federation Ksenia Titova noted that the main strategic directions for the development of the macroterritory of the Great Golden Ring have already been determined. These are hotel infrastructure, transport, engineering, branding of the territory and architectural code, assessment of anthropogenic load. Within the framework of the project, proposals will be prepared, including on improving the regulatory framework in the field of tourism.

"The key task of the master plan is to develop all-season resorts, in fact, the redistribution of tourist flow from regional centers to small towns, which are already of interest to tourists," – said Ksenia Titova.

According to Larisa Solomatina, Chairman of the Tula Region Committee for Tourism Development, promising territories have been identified in the region within the framework of the Great Golden Ring – these are Belev, Suvorov and Kulikovo clusters starting from Bogoroditsk. A good inter–regional tourist link has been formed with the Kaluga region - Polenovo-Tarusa. This will attract even more tourists to the region and will contribute to the development of these territories.

"At the next stage, together with our federal colleagues, we are forming investment lots on specific land plots. This will allow us to properly build the tourist infrastructure on the routes that we plan to develop. The creation of new all-season resorts in the Tula region will not only redistribute the tourist flow and diversify tourist offers, but also form a single tourist space that is attractive to tourists and at the same time comfortable for residents." – Larisa Solomatina emphasized.
