In the period from September 24 to September 27, a special mailbox will be placed in the Tourist Information Centers (TIC) in the participating cities of the campaign. Tourists who have visited the TIC these days can take a postcard for free, write a wish, fill in the recipient's address and drop it into a special box. The postcards will then be sent by Russian Post to the recipients. You can also send a commemorative postcard in electronic format. In addition, festive events, excursions and festivals have been prepared in the regions specifically for the Day of Tourism, which everyone can attend, admission is free. A lot of interesting excursions are being prepared for the Day of Tourism in the Vologda region, for example, a free walking tour "Streets of the Hometown" will be held on September 27.
Tourism Day will be celebrated on a large scale in St. Petersburg. A festive festival will be held in the city on the Neva River from September 23 to September 25. On the Palace Square, the unique opportunities of St. Petersburg as the capital of various types of tourism will be creatively presented in pavilions with colorful decor and branding. Here you can watch thematic multimedia installations dedicated to design and architecture, sports and water tourism, new tourist geography – all those diverse areas that make St. Petersburg a unique "magnet" for travel.
