Tula will receive federal funding for the city's tourism
Tula will receive federal funding for the city's tourism
02 August 2022
Tula is among the winning cities that will receive federal funding for the city's tourism development.
"The creation of the
tourist code
of the city will be an excellent continuation of the course of restoration of the historical center of Tula, set by Alexei Gennadievich Dyumin. This will make the city even more comfortable, cozy and friendly for guests and residents of Tula. The city will receive 215 million rubles to create its own tourist code," Larisa Solomatina, Chairman of the Tourism Committee, commented on the victory. The Turkode is a complex of events aimed at creating a visual appearance of the city center. Thanks to Turkod, navigational orientation signs will be installed in Tula in 2023, sold-out venues will be updated, new art objects and tourist information centers will appear within the tourist center, and underpasses will receive design.
Projects from 80 Russian cities with a population of up to 2 million people submitted for the competition. Tula took the 6th place in terms of points and was included in the list of winning cities.
