Tula and Kaluga regions signed an agreement on cooperation in the field of tourism
Tula and Kaluga regions signed an agreement on cooperation in the field of tourism
26 March 2022
The signing took place at the MITT exhibition, which opened the day before at Crocus Expo. One of the first joint projects should be the river route
"Kaluga-Polenovo @polenovomuseum”
. The institutions agreed to share their work experience and information in the field of tourism, and develop joint projects.
One of the areas of joint work will be the holding of interregional events, including conferences, round tables, exhibitions, advertising, press and blog tours.
Currently, the Tourism Development Agencies of the Kaluga and Tula Regions are discussing the possibility of launching the Kaluga- Polenovo river route as part of the development of the Summer on the Oka investment project.
"We are united with the Kaluga Region not only by our neighborhood: our regions are also part of the federal project "The Great Golden Ring of Russia". Today, the development of inter-regional relations opens up new opportunities, including in the field of tourism. My Kaluga colleagues and I decided to start developing joint travel products specifically with the river route that will connect Polenovo and Tarusa. This will help us in solving the task set by Governor Alexey Dyumin to expand the variety of offers for tourists in the region," said Larisa Solomatina, Chairman of the Tula Region Committee for Tourism Development.
