More than 92 thousand tourists visited the Tula region during the New Year holidays
During the New Year holidays, the region was popular with tourists from all over the country. Most of the guests came from Moscow, the Moscow region and other cities of the Central Federal District.

The interest of the guests in the region was promoted by a special advertising campaign to attract tourists to the region.

During the New Year holidays, the "Travel for a Dream" festival was held in the Tula region as part of the national project "Tourism and the Hospitality Industry".

In Tula, on Metallistov Street, there was a Wish Shop where everyone could send a souvenir postcard by New Year's mail, play a gift exchange, and receive a New Year's card card "Open Tula." A New Year's branded tram ran through the city, in which passengers could listen to an audio performance about New Year's traditions in Russia and Tula during the trip.

In the courtyard of the restaurant in the Museum Quarter, young guests were shown New Year's cartoons on a big screen every day.

The exhibition "Unreal Tula" has opened in the creative industrial cluster "Octava". She suggests going on a fascinating metaphorical journey through the five cities of the Tula region and feeling their special atmosphere. The exhibition started on December 24 and will run until February 23.

"Governor Alexey Gennadievich Dyumin set the task to increase the tourist attractiveness of the region. Every year we record an increase in tourists, as the number of guests on current holidays has increased compared to the same period last year. Thanks to the diverse program developed in the region for tourists, guests who had already visited Tula came to us with interest. On New Year's Eve, country hotels in the region were very popular, hotels in the historical center of Tula were occupied by 90%", said Larisa Solomatina, Deputy Minister of Economic Development of the Tula Region.
