Filming of the VK tourist project "Places" took place in the Tula region
From April 26 to April 30, the VK "Places" project team got acquainted with the sights of the Tula region. A film will be created based on the results of a media expedition with bloggers SLEEPY and Herman Glas.

"Tula region is an amazing region with a rich history. We know about it as the armory, gingerbread and samovar capital of Russia. However, the Tula region attracts travelers not only with souvenirs and manufactures. The workshop of Russia is famous for its unique landscapes, amazing traditions and unusual entertainment. We hope that the film based on the results of our media expedition will encourage as many travelers as possible to pay attention to this interesting region," commented Dmitry Uvarov, VK's Director of Strategic Partnership.

In Tula, bloggers visited the Kremlin, the Tea Party Museum, and the Machine Tool Museum. They also visited one of the smallest cities in Russia, Chekalin. Tourists got acquainted with the production of Oktava microphones, kayaked along the Krasavaya Mecha River, visited a nutrient farm, etc.

As noted by Larisa Sadova, Deputy Minister of Economic Development of the Tula Region, on behalf of Governor Alexey Dyumin, the range of tourist offers in the region is constantly being updated.

"In the Tula region, in addition to exploring traditional industries and crafts, ecological and gastrotourism, which are in demand now, are available. The eventful calendar attracts fans of active recreation and cultural life. Thanks to the creation of new tourism products, the tourist flow to our region is increasing," said Larisa Sadova.

The VK "Places" project is being implemented with the support of the Institute for the Development of the Internet (ANO "IRI"). By the end of 2024, 70 image videos about different parts of Russia will be released. Filming has already taken place in 39 regions.
