In August 2012, the city celebrated its anniversary, and a monument to miners, the city founders, was unveiled at a solemn ceremony in the Labor Glory Square. Chelyabinsk sculptor A. V. Davidovich is its author. The cast iron sculpture represents the figure of a miner on a small pedestal wearing a hard hat and holding a pick in his hands; behind the pedestal, there is a trolley used to be loaded with coal after mining.
