In the branch ГИМ A diverse program awaits residents of Tula and guests of the city. The exhibition "Faberge and the Court jewelers" presents gifts dedicated to memorable dates and regimental holidays of the Russian army, as well as diplomatic gifts. The authors of such products were famous jewelry companies. During the program "As a souvenir from the bottom of my heart", visitors will be able to create a souvenir styled after the masterpieces of renowned jewelers. On the same day, workshops will be held on making brooches, decorating Easter eggs, and creating ornaments based on the products of Russian jewelers. All about Peter the Great's strategic reforms, which allowed him to achieve world-wide impressive successes, can be found at the exhibition "Great Peter, your every trace is a sacred monument to the Russian heart!", which will be held at 19.00 in the reading room of the Library and Information Center "Weapons. Memory. Patriotism." At the creative workshops of the Tula Craftsmen School (on the 1st floor of the helmet building), modern Tula craftsmen will demonstrate the art of creating metal products, unique elements of Tula cutting, engraving and carving, and the secrets of artistic leather processing. The interactive program will feature traditional dishes of Russian festive and ceremonial cuisine, known since the Middle Ages, and preserved in their archaic form both by their recipe and by their names. On the same day, guided tours of the exhibition "10,000 years before the Tula Kremlin" will take place. The exhibition presents the history of human exploration of the forest banks of the Upa River, where the city of Tula once appeared, and answers the main question: why did this happen?
In The Scientific Center "Archeology and Restoration" at Metallistov 1 will host a master class "The Secret of ancient potters". At the master class, participants will get acquainted with the techniques of creating and decorating ancient ceramic vessels. The master potter will tell you and show you what unusual materials our ancestors used when applying ornaments to the surface. Some techniques can be tested in working with clay. At the master class "Painting medieval miniatures", participants will learn about the peculiarities of creating medieval miniatures, learn how to mix paints based on natural materials. After preparing the paints, the participants of the master class will be able to apply them in painting the plot of a medieval battle.
At 18:00, the workshop on the second floor will host the workshop "Experiments of Art": under the guidance of a young Tula artist Vladislav Titaev, visitors will be able to create their own work of art in papier-mache technique. At 20:00 there will be a lecture "Soviet wedding" with an exhibition of one day. The program will culminate with the premiere of the quest "Back to the Future in Tula or Masha and the case of the missing Song" at 18:30 and 21:00. The participants of the game have a long way to go through the harsh Ice Age, the Stone Age and the formation of ancient Tula before the time of the heroic defense of the city.
