Zlatinskiye Lavki shops were built in the early 19th century. Here they sold church utensils at the Intercession Church. Later, the shops became part of the trading premises that belonged to merchant Zlatin.
When a devastating fire broke out in the city in 1834, only the walls remained of the shops, which almost collapsed from the brutal fire. It was only in 1863 that the shops were restored.
From the early 20th century until 2017, this place fell into disrepair, and only fragments of the old facade have survived. In 2019-2020, as part of the project to restore the Tula embankment, the city's architects carried out a large-scale restoration of the Zlatinskiye Lavki shops.
The restored building, just like in the 19th century, included some trade shops, a museum, a cafe, a wine shop and the new five-star Apart Hotel Zlatinskiye Lavki.
Apart Hotel Zlatinskiye Lavki is part of the 19th century hotel chain for a reason. All hotels of this chain are located in historical buildings and styled after the Golden Age of the Russian Empire. Guests at Apart Hotel Zlatinskiye Lavki have access to three luxury-level room categories, which differ in the number of bedrooms and living area. The largest of them has two floors and three bedrooms. All rooms have a kitchen with utensils, wardrobes for linen and clothes, a TV set, coffee tables and cabinets, armchairs and sofas, air conditioning, and a bookcase. Parquet floors, photos of the old streets of Tula, a historic quarter view, and elements of design create the effect of time travel to the 19th century.
Apart Hotel Zlatinskiye Lavki will provide its guests with an opportunity to fill their day with energy thanks to breakfast served in the ground floor cafe bearing the same name. The morning meal is included in the price and is truly a royal one. For example, one of the breakfast options includes potato pancakes with caviar, salmon carpaccio on toast, meringue roll, a slice of Napoleon cake, tea, coffee, or a glass of champagne. Besides, the cafe is open all day long. Judging by the reviews, it serves excellent hot dishes and soups.
Apart Hotel Zlatinskiye Lavki provides its guests with a guarded parking lot, which is quite important since the city centre is overcrowded on weekdays. Room service is available to be ordered. If a guest happens to have their birthday, they can await gifts while the newlyweds will receive a wedding suite under special (and pleasant) terms. An additional option is an area for Instagram photos in the hotel interiors.
